Hello! My name is Miriam and I am the head baker at Bontalicious.

I absolute love baking and always brought my cakes and treats to friends and family’s parties since I can remember! But baking really became a purpose when I met my partner. Of course, I enthusiastically baked him an amazing cake BUT he kindly refused! I was: ‘What? You don’t eat my bakes?!? How is this relationship going to work?’ and he said: ‘I can’t. I am allergic to dairy!’ That was the first time someone could not have a slice of my cakes and, as speechless as I was, I thought ‘challenge accepted! ??’

I was too gravitating towards a vegan diet, so I got serious and entered this magic world of vegan baking. As I realised that the number of people intolerant to gluten was on the rise, my purpose got stronger. What was/is on offer to people looking for a vegan and gluten free sweet treat, was/is really quite yucky! I believe that everyone should have a choice to eat a TASTY cake whenever they want, and that is the problem I am here to solve! In fact, my customers are not returning because I bake vegan or gluten free, but because the treats are sooo scrumptious, that they simply want more!
